Well, now I finally know what Rutebaga and Endives after four and a half years in New York. Thanks Anna!
“Pudding” is another one that means something very specific in American English, but something quite general in British English. And I’ve never heard Americans say “bap,” so that’s two more if you want to add them! It’s a great list!

I confused American friends recently by talking about the hob and the ring. I think ‘stovetop’ was the closest translation.
